Honey roasted chickpeas are a great protein-filled snacking option that offers a healthy and delicious crunch! A great substitute for chips or popcorn, this recipe offers both salty and sweet flavours to satisfy your cravings. This all natural healthy snack is extremely versatile; the chickpeas are great all on their own, or they can act as a great substitute for croutons on salad!
1 can of chickpeas
3/4 Tbsp olive oil
1 Tbsp honey
Pinch of salt (to taste)
Preheat oven to 325°F. Drain and rinse the chickpeas, patting dry to remove as much excess moisture as possible. In a medium mixing bowl, coat the chickpeas first with olive oil then honey. Add a pinch of salt to taste, mixing well. Spread chickpeas on a parchment lined baking tray. Bake for 30 minutes, or until chickpeas are golden brown and crunchy! Enjoy!
